How often do you check on inmates that are on suicide watch?

Every two hours for the nurse. An officer is assigned to watch the inmate at all times.

We have one on one observation. This is usually done by a trustee, and the nurse checks every 2 hours.

We have one on one observation and it is always a CO. Med nurse is to check anyone that is on observation when they are on the unit. This requires that the CO lock down the rest and let the nurse in. They go cell to cell, check and then it is written down that they were checked
