Hi all,
I'm back again... One of the below threads caught my attention this afternoon....the one about nurse recruiting. I'm just wondering.....are there actually "nurses" that do nurse recruiting??? If so...how do I get a job like that...LOL. Sounds like it would be interesting to me. I guess everyone can tell by my recent posts ....that I'm not super happy at my current job. I mean...it's okay...but I'd really like to try something different someday. Telephone triage is what I'd really like to get into...but I just can't seem to find any opportunities in "Northwest Wisconsin" Of course I'm still thinking about the vet. tech. part time thing.....I don't know what I want to be when I grow up.... Well..I guess I've gone off track once again.....I guess my point is that I really want to get away from bedside nursing....and the whole case manager thing doesn't intrigue me...what's left??? Ohh yeah....thanks for any insight into my original nurse recruiter question...LOL.....:chuckle

When I was hired out of school, both nurse recruiters were nurses. So, there are those opportunities out there. Good luck!

Our nurse recruiter is a nurse. My facility has had one nurse recruiter who wasn't a nurse, but in human resources.
I think it takes a nurse to know the job description and to answer questions, to understand what ratios are, etc. etc. But it is quite far from the bedside, so I can understand how a non-nurse might also do the job.
I'm not sure how to get those jobs. But yes, quite a few recuiters are nurses. Good luck!
