Hi psych nurses! I don't often find myself on these forums, but I thought I'd share a fascinating video I saw recently.
This is a TEDx video given by Cecilia McGough, a very successful young woman with schizophrenia; it is entitled "I Am Not a Monster." She talks about her inside experience with auditory and visual hallucinations, as well as the stigma associated with mental illness. She also founded a cool non-profit to support young adults with schizophrenia. Very interesting video, highly recommended.

Thanks for sharing this video with us, adventure rn. It made me think of Individuals I've worked with in the past who were extremely intelligent, and one who took his own life.
Generally, I enjoy working with Individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia as they are, if nothing else, endlessly interesting.
