"HELP", "HELP"

I've failed the most important class of the nursing program:sniff:. I'm feeling really blue and I don't know what to do:crying2:. I worked so hard to go to this point in the program and I failed. I don't want to keep dwelling on my mishap, but as you can tell I'm really disappointed:o. Can anybody out there give me some advise on how to study for Respiratory, Diabetes, Cardiac (Peripheral Vascular), Hemotalogic, and Renal. I only passed 1 test and did very poorly and the finals. :imbar

What worked for me was this:

Step one: understand what each organ does (basic A&P stuff)

Step two: look at the symptoms of a particular disorder (such as renal failure or emphysema) and ask yourself "Why would this symptom be present". This helped me to anticipate what intervention/doc orders would be most appropriate.

Step three: When led to what intervention/doc orders you may encounter based on step two, ask yourself "how is this going to help the patient. WHY is this going to help the patient".

Step four: Finally, ask yourself "What if X intervention/order was not performed?".

Worked for me....lowest grade I ever got was a B. Hope it will work for you!

I dont know wat u tell u bc I am also struggling up and down here. I passed 2 tests and I also failed 2 test. I have 1 more test and 1 final to go. My experience is I start early; I study my slides (if you instrutor provides PP); study my notes then I do practice problems (many of them) if I get the pratice problems wrong I read the rationel and the book to find out what wrong with my knowledge. I lets it go for several weeks unstill the testing day, I do it again.
