Quinnipiac ABSN 2017

Published

Hey everyone! I plan on applying to Quinnipiac this August (2016) for the 2017 start. I was wondering if there was anyone else interested in the program, how your grades are, or if there's anyone in the program now or in the past that has any information they are willing to share. Thanks!!

my grades:

Micro: A-

Anatomy I: B+

Anatomy II: A

Statistics: A

Accepted to Vanderbilt so if I am accepted by Quinnipiac I will mostly likely turn down my spot. Hopefully that will help someone who is waiting. Good luck!

Still in review. Not sure that is out of the ordinary but has anyone else gotten a response or communication from Quinnipiac yet?

Still in review! From past forums it's looking like we won't hear until mid march :(

Mine also still says in review. I've been checking the status daily hoping it changes. Probably won't see anything change until mid March :( waiting game is the absolute worst!

Mine is still in review. I'm getting more and more anxious over here!!

Mine says the same thing :( hopefully it'll change soon, I thought the decisions would be made by now !

LinaB - I know the school sends out acceptance letters in waves. Do they base that on when you submitted your application and they go in order that way?

Hi everyone,

I'm glad I found this thread because I'm waiting for news from QU as well and it's helpful to hear from others in the same boat. I really don't know what to expect.....I have excellent grades but I'm really not sure if they will see enough in my application to convince them that I am right for this program. I'm older (37) and the last work experience I had was 15 years ago (I worked four years as a CNA and a few months as a home health aide). My bachelor's is in English. My application was right at the deadline, so I may be one of the last to hear from them! Have any of you gotten a response?

@CTFutureRN I am not sure but I don't think they pay attention to who sent their application in first. That'd be too much to keep track of! ;)

I don't know nrvslywaiting, having the CNA and home health aide experience as well as excellent grades sounds like you have what they would want. Even if you haven't work in a while, your age actually gives you years of life experience and maturity which goes a long way when dealing with critical thinking and knowing how to deal with people.

Wishing you luck. Hopefully some of us will start hearing soon.

I got my letter March 21st last year! :)

Thanks for the encouragement, NikNikV:)

I'm especially hoping to get accepted to QU because my second choice (Southern) would be a whole year off for me. They require all pre-req's to be completed before you apply and I'm finishing those two this semester. I don't want to wait--I'm ready to rock and roll!
