Quinnipiac ABSN 2017

Hey everyone! I plan on applying to Quinnipiac this August (2016) for the 2017 start. I was wondering if there was anyone else interested in the program, how your grades are, or if there's anyone in the program now or in the past that has any information they are willing to share. Thanks!!

So you did your undergrad in CT too? I'm graduating in May (I might have said that earlier). I too am about an hour away but in New York.

I applied to Northeastern, Fairfield, NYU and I will apply to PACE but that application is not due yet. Who knows, maybe if I get accepted to Quinnipiac I won't need/want to apply to PACE any more. Fingers crossed.

that's awesome! so you're definitely willing to travel/move depending on if you get accepted into a MA school or CT school because you live in New York. That's great! I was looking into Pace's program as well.

Hi Everyone!

I also applied to QU ABSN for the fall 2017 start! My app also says "in review" so I'm assuming this is a good thing that they have received everything they needed.

I can say I have zero medical experience, besides some volunteer work and nurse shadowing years ago. I have my Bachelor's in Business Management and Finance, and worked in that field every since I graduated almost 5 years ago. I'm hoping my good pre req GPA (3.9), essay and letters will help me get in! So nervous waiting for an answer! Even though we know it won't be until mid March.

Does anyone know how many people apply to the program versus how many get in?

We were told around 350 applied last year and 47 (ish) were accepted.

Hi guys!

I also applied to the program back in December. I just spoke to someone in admissions and they told me that my application is still in review and has been for about two weeks. My undergrad GPA was a 3.1 but prerequisite GPA is about a 3.7. My GPA is low because I took crazy hard science classes in undergrad. I have been working in a nursing home for almost 3 years now and am hoping that helps me out a little bit! I also applied to Thomas Jefferson and was offered an interview for their 2 year accelerated program. Also waiting to hear back from Wilkes, Northeastern, Drexel, and NYU.

Accepted at Vandy and Boston College and most likely going to Vandy for FNP. Good luck y'all! Hope once I submit my official paperwork one of you can get my spot!

I am in a similar position--was just accepted (CNM) at Vandy, and will either be going there or to Yale if I'm accepted! Hopefully that'll open up a spot for someone else :) Good luck to everyone, and hang in there! Take good care of yourselves!!

Just checked and my application is still in review as well. This is very stressful....accepted at Northeastern but they only give you 2 weeks to commit and pay the non-refundable deposit. Probably won't hear back from Quinnipiac before that date. Yikes!

Congrats to everyone who are getting acceptances already! I'm so nervous, Quinnipiac is the only program I applied to.. Hoping I hear good news soon
