Questions about Summer Internships

Published

Is it okay to apply to several, and would it leave a bad impression if I turned down an offer (i.e. I get my #1 choice)?

Any advice on the best places to apply? I am thinking about Methodist, Fairview and Allina.

All advice is welcomed!!!

I think its ok to turn down the offers that you dont want, but most of the time you wo uld be lucky to get even one offer. Good luck and hope you get the choice that you want

I applied to every one that I could this past summer, and got lucky enough to get an interview and intern position with Allina. I did not get interviews at the other hospitals I applied at. NMMC has an intern program as well, along with the ones you listed. There are probably more. I know at Allina, they had 500 people apply for 100 positions, and they interviewed 200 applicants. So, once you got an interview it was 50% chance you would get an internship. It is very competitive and so, if you do get more than one offer, that is great!! But I have not heard of that happening.
