  1. I just graduated from MCTC in December, passed my boards in January, had a baby on January 31 and am currently looking for a job. I have an interview on Tuesday at a Pediatric Home Health Care agency, so I hope it works out!!
  2. Is it okay to apply to several, and would it leave a bad impression if I turned down an offer (i.e. I get my #1 choice)? Any advice on the best places to apply? I am thinking about Methodist, Fairview and Allina. All advice is welcomed!!!
  3. I really need to gain some experience in the medical field and I really need to brush up on basic NA skills so I was hoping to work at a hospital this summer. The problem is that I do not want to work while I'm in school, so I don't want to start a job and then quit 2 months later because that would leave a bad impression. I was hoping that I could maybe volunteer, but I've heard that hospitals won't allow you to volunteer as a CNA. Does anyone have any advice? Do you think someone would hire me if I am honest about only working in the summer? Eventually I do want to work some where to get my "foot in the door" before I graduate, so this could be a start. Does that make sense? Any advice is appreciated!
  4. I just completed my first semester clinical. I feel like I still don't know what the hell I'm doing, please tell me this is normal?! I also got an 82% © on my process paper, and I feel so discouraged. Not a good way to start nursing school.:uhoh21:
  5. I started nursing school when my son was 5 months old. It is a challenge because I breastfeed, he doesn't sleep through the night and he's crawling and getting into everything. But I've made up my mind that I am going to get through this. I also have a great support system, which is very helpful! If you think you can do it, than you can! Good luck!
