I take the NCLEX on June 16. I have been studying Sandra Smith's Review, Saunders Review, Rayfield and Asso., and Kaplan. I usually score about 70% on the cd reviews and was wanting to know if this was average or should I have a higher percentage to be better prepared for the NCLEX. I also have noticed that I have more trouble with the Sandra Smith's Review more than the others. Does anyone have any suggestions on studying the review guides? Thanks for the help.

Hi Pea,
I Take The Nclex On June 19th. I Have Been Using Saunders, Lippincott, Nclex 3000, And Nclex Review Cards. One Of My Instructors Told Me To Try And Score At Least 80% On Practice Tests. However, I Usually Scor Lower Than That But I'm Gonna Take The Test Anyway. I Already Postponed It Once, And So Far 11 Of My Classmates Have Passed, Some Of Them Reviewed And Some Did Not. They Keep Telling Me That School Was Sufficient Enough And That You Know All You Need To Know. But, I Decided To Take My Time And Do Some Questions And Get Some Work Experience. So, I'm Just Going To Say A Pray And Wish For The Best. So, I Wish You Good Luck And Be Confident Within Yourself. My Confidence Has Gotten Better Since I've Started Working, I Know I Can Do It And So Can You....

Besides worrying about what percentage that you are getting right, are you completely understanding why the other answers are incorrect. This is one of the most important steps to take into account. You may see quite similar questions on the exam, with perhaps only one word changed, thereby wanting a different answer. With my students, we go over each question when we are reviewing, and the reason why the wrong answer would not be selected. This also gives them better insight in how to answer the question.
Good luck...................... :balloons:
