Nurses General Nursing

Hey ya'll....long time, no see. I have been so wrapped up in work that I haven't had time to do my favorite thing....surf allnurses.com.
Anyhow......I would like some info on Nursing Certifications. I am interested in any certifications in the area of OR/PACU.
One of my friends told me you buy the book, study and then go to Atlanta to take the test for the certifications. Is that true?
Please email me, pm me, or answer on this board if you have any information.
Thanks
Dianne
