Questions for lpns in Maryland?

I'm almost done my pre requisites for the LPN's program for hcc but lately I've been a bit discouraged. I keep hearing that LPN's are being phased out, now I know many don't work in hospitals anymore but now I heard there being ousted from nursing homes! So I was curious as to if there are any new grads that can tell me if there having difficulties finding work and if any vet LPN's can tell me if it's true RN's are taking over the nursing homes to now. Should I just skip the LPN program altogether and take the extra pre req's for the RN program. So confused PLEASE HELP!! Also what is the starting pay for LPN's in MD?

Also this is kind of unrelated but I'm a cna and I was wondering if you get credit for that, what I mean is I heard you don't have to take the first nursing class? Its foundations of nursing practice, is that true?

where were you working as a gna making that type of money thanks

You have to take foundations no matter if you are CNA you just got a leg up on your classmates who can't apply for CNA verification until they pass foundations.
