Questions about filling out the NJ licensure for endorsement application

Published

Hello there. So I've been an LPN for 10 years and just got my PA RN license in September 2014 after graduating with my AAS (ADN) in May 2014.

I want to transfer my RN license to NJ to move in with my fiance. So I started the online application for endorsement. Questions are:

1. Under the education section there is basic education and advanced degrees. I listed my community college as the basic and left the advanced empty assuming it was for nurse practitioners and such. However, when I get to the summary, it says simply "Degrees N" meaning none. Have I filled this out wrong? What do they mean by basic? Advanced? Do I need to include my LPN school?

2. For the work history, do I need to include my 10 years of history as an LPN? I've heard horrible things about waiting for NJ endorsement and I was hoping to keep it simple. I only have one job so far as an RN. So one company to contact is better than the 10 years worth from PA and FL. But will this be viewed as an incomplete application? It's a separate license. I don't know.

3. Is there a phone number to be able to ask these questions? I sent in an email, but it sure would be nice to be able to ask the questions back and forth as a conversation.

Thanks for any info you might have.

You can call the board of nursing. The number is on the website and I believe specific extensions are still on the paper application.
