Just curious... I know the program is 3 days a week, but I'm wondering what days? Are they the same set days, or do they vary week to week? Does anyone have a schedule they can send me for the program you're currently in, just so I can get an idea of breaks and such? Thank you :)

You might want email the school and ask or attend an information session. I'm going to one this Thursday so I may be able to answer your questions.
Thanks Joyfull77. I did attend an info session in August, and that was one of the things I didn't clarify at that time. However, I called my admissions rep, Cheryl, yesterday and she said that it's not set for December start yet. She said that one cohort is doing a morning session, then an evening session on the same day, and then another morning or afternoon session on a second day during the week. At this point I'm trying to figure out my child care situation and job situation since I'm relocating from Hawaii without my husband for now. He'll follow hopefully within a year. Are you going for December start?
So the December start is the 6th (I think) but definitely the beginning of December, then the next ones are March 2011, June 2011 and September 2011. The current class goes to classes on Monday and Wednesday. Monday goes from 9am-1pm and Wednesday is 9-5. They said each quarter the class days will change a little, but it will still only be a few days a week. And the clinical times will be all day too. I was really worried about the price, but if you have some of your prerequisites completed then its a lot cheaper. Also, they said today that their credits can transfer into Walla Walla's BSN program and into Linfield's RN-BSN program, however, I'm going to contact both campuses to confirm that one.

Hi Joyfull,
I was just wondering if you were able to verify whether or not credits would transfer to Walla Walla or Linfield?
NurseJackie2B I contacted Linfield who said that when ITT tech gets the type of accreditation that Linfield requires that they will accept the credits from ITT for their RN to BSN program. Although ITT is accredited by an accrediting body it's not the type of accreditation that Linfield accepts for transferring classes into. I didn't talk to Walla Walla because I figured they were going to tell me the same thing. However it seems like ITT is gaining a lot of popularity and I wouldn't be surprised if they receive their accreditation for transferring to other schools...but I was told they can't receive it until their first class of nursing students graduate which should be by the end of this year I think.
Thank you so much! I just went ot one fo the seminars yesterday and I'm scheduled to take the hesi on 1/31. Are you in the program?

Popularity is not part of the criteria for accreditation.
NurseJackie2B...no I'm not in the program...I've just done a lot of research on it! I hope everything works out for you! And CuriousMe I should've been more clear....I meant that it's gaining popularity thus attracting more students to the program and therefore more students will be graduating from their program and that is what they need for accreditation, they need for their nursing students to graduate. But you're right, popularity alone won't cause a school to achieve accreditation their are tons of lpn schools on Oregon that are not accredited and are very well known.

Did itt tech ever get their accreditation?
