Hi everyone,
I am applying to the Texas Health Resource AP BSN program at UTA as a dependent for the spring of 2011. I am very concerned about how competitive it is to be admitted. If theres anyone out there that could answer my questions or concerns, I would greatly appreciate everything.
1. In the past, I've had to retake some of the pre-requisite courses to improve my grade. Does the admission committee take the highest grade of the two for one course? Or do they average it together?
2. How many Nursing pre-requisite courses are we allowed to retake without being counted against?
3. Does THR calculate your pre-requisites courses overall or are there categories? For example the UTA BSN program divides it up into separate categories: one is the overall GPA of your gen chem, A&P 1, A&P II, and Microbiology; the other is the overall GPA for the other listed pre-requisites.
3. For those who have been admitted into the THR AP BSN Program already.... what was your GPA and HESI score?
4. I heard that the nursing pre-requisites courses for pharm and patho could be taken at a Dallas County Community College and would still be accepted. Is it true? Or do we HAVE to take it at UTA?
If anyone knows any answers to my questions, PLEASE respond! even if you have some good tips, please share!
THANK YOU!!!!!!
