Hi,I am a senior in high school and had applied early action for some nursing schools that i have been interested in.I have gotten accepted by UMASS Lowell, UMASS Dartmouth, University of Maine,and Elmira college, i am wondering about which nursing school has the best program, satff, connection to clinics and job opportunities after graduating.So, basically which one is the best out of all four?Please help, i need to make decisions as soon as possible...thanks...
watersamy 146 Posts Jan 19, 2012 The most important aspect of a school is the ability of its nursing graduates to pass the NCLEX-RN. Check out the Mass nclex rates at this site National Council Licensure Examinations (NCLEX) by School - Health and Human Services - Mass.Gov it lists each school in Mass and the percentage of graduated individuals who passed the NCLEX their first time around. It goes back a few years so that you can see the trend (is its program getting better or worse). Of course you'll have to check the stats of those out-of-state colleges on other state websites, if available.
