I have been a nurse for 6 years and have worked adult post open heart, pediatic cardiac, post partum, and NICU. All of which have been in the hospital setting. I want a change and am wondering if I get my NP either pediatric or family practice how difficult it will be for me to find a job when I am done. I think I would want to work in an office setting. I am also wondering if I will be able to have a semi-flexible schedule. I have two little girls. As well as about how much money I would be making. Any info and/or advice would be appreciated.

Hi there just as employment as an RN there are flexible jobs out there for an NP. You can work part time as an NP. I currently have 2 part time positions. The money varies from position, experience and location. Keep looking until you see something that meets your requirements. Good Luck.

Check into the job situation BEFORE comitting to a program if at all possible. Job availability varies tremendously throughout the country.
