What kind of math is there in RN school ? What kind of math will I need to know ?
You need to know the basics. Proportions, percentages, that kind of stuff. You need to be able to understand and apply formulas. Some algebra skills are helpful too.
The math in nursing school is not difficult, what makes it challenging is that the problems are presented in very unfamiliar ways. You need to be willing to practice your butt off on dosage calc problems - regardless of your level of math proficiency.

This. I suggest checking out DosageHelp.com - Helping Nursing Students Learn Dosage Calculations to get a feel for what nursing math is like.
Thanks for the replys everyone. Also will I need to have a graphing calculator. Thanks
No, just a basic 4-function calculator. Some nursing tests in school will allow you to use calculators (for example, on my critical care final we had the option of bringing in a calculator for math), but they had to be a 4-function one - if we used graphing calculators they would get taken away because you can store information on them and cheat - I've seen it happen.
