Question.....

U.S.A. Michigan

I am awaiting my reply to enter into the program at JCC in Jackson michigan. When I got my letter it was a conditional acceptance. I had paper work which I had to fill out, already done, I will be sending my physical and immunization form in this week, and I will be attending orientation and fingerprinting. This is all required to do to get in. Why, if I dont get accepted, would they send me a letter and require me to do all the paperwork? Also where can I find places on the internet to study for my NET and NCLEX that doesn't cost anything? What were those tests like. I am really frustrated because I worked my butt off this year to finish my prerequisites and I do not have any more classes that I can take.

Do they have a waiting list? I had to also complete several things to get into class and there was still a waiting list. Hope you get in, but call the school and ask how they pick the incoming students. For practice test, get a book with a cd and practice, there are many good ones to choose from. Good luck .

No there is no waiting list, they go by points. 120 people applied and only 60 will get in but from what others are saying they sent out alot of conditional acceptance letters, and some were contingent. What would be the difference between the two of them.

Good luck! I moved your post to a more appropriate Forum......

hi..

this happend to me a year ago. i applied to second year adn program as an advanced standing student. i received a letter saying i was conditionally accepted into the program, they made to me to come to the orientation, submit my physicals, immmunization records etc.. i think about 30 students applied to this program, and we were all conditionally accepted into the program. after the first year was over, which is about april, they figure out how many students have dropped out and in my case, only 13 students have dropped out. so they can accept only 13 students into the program. what they did was they accepted students based on the date the application was summitted. so those who submitted application earliest got in. after spending money to pay for physicals, immunizations, i was told i did not get into the program and they are going to put me on the waiting list for the next year's admission. boy i was pissed off :angryfire :angryfire :angryfire :angryfire

i think your situation is just like mine. they cant accept all applicants, so they are going to accept students in order of application date based on how many seats are avaliable. i suggest you to apply to another school just in case you dont get in, so you dont have to wait a year...
