Question in regards to job offers?

Published

Hello, I just graduated this month, FNP, haven't taken my boards yet, so pray for me with those,

I was wondering if anyone could give suggestions on what is appropriate to ask for, with regards of

weeks of vacation (starting out), CE allottment, (they pay, or u pay), health insurance (they pay part or majority), salary or hourly, if salary how do you prevent being used as a slave (lack of better wording lol). or anything else I am not thinking of, I appreciate any suggestions, and I am in Kentucky.

Thank you so much in advance for any input!!!

A lot depends on the practice or hospital. If you go into some place that already has APNs then they probably have a standard set of bennies, salary, etc. If you are the first mid-level you might have more negotiation.

A word about : it's usually paid for by the practice or hospital. However, it wont cover BON hearings or anything like that. Have your own.

Lets delete "mid-level" from our vocabulary. :)

Come on - I use mid-level to mean all of us: NPs, CNSs, CNMs, CRNAs, and PA's - what the heck am I suposed to use when I mean multiple disciplines?

Lets stay on topic and not get into this yet again.

We just have to agree to disagree.
