I am a June 2009 graduate and signed up for the NGI in May 2009 and was offered a job that was to start in August'09. However, I failed the June CRNE but passed the October one; I tried to go back to my original NGI but there is currently no positions available. To participate in the NGI, one must start work within 6 months of completion date but HFO's website also says the new grad can go back to the original position if they pass on the 2nd attempt and if it is available.
I'm confused because the HR for the job I was originally offered is telling me I'm not eligible for the NGI anymore because it is past 6 months; and they won't have any positions until April 2010 at least.
Does this mean I cannot participate in the NGI AT ALL anymore? Or am I allowed to wait until my original position is available again?

page 10-11 talks about passing the 2nd time

I too, have had some questions about this guarantee that I had posted a while ago as to who was eligible for it, and whether every hospital was doing it. One of the answers I received was that some hospitals have decided not to offer it as they did not feel that they would have any open full time positions to offer after the grad time period ends.
In regards to your question, and after reading the attachment, it seems that offering this program past the six month date is up to the hospital. I am sure that some hospital will take you, if not call your school or even the RNAO as they are there to advocate for RN's and should at least offer you some advice.
