question regarding Cedars

U.S.A. California

Published

Hi again,

I have a question regarding Cedars . Do they hire new grads?

Most of the job listings are for experienced nurses. I dont live in Ca so I am a bit clueless. I need all the help I can get. For those of you who havent read my oher threads, I am relocating to Ca, so I need help with choosing hospitals. All the research in the world and I still need help..how funny.

So, I am calling out for help....HELP!!!

Its been awhile since I have posted...but I just wanted to let everybody know I got the job at UCLA...I start in July :balloons:

I am very excited...everyone was wonderful...So anway...I start in July...

Congrats

Hope you enjoy living in California. Even though it is expensive, once you get here and get used to the atmosphere, you kind of forget about it. There's so much to do here. I was just wondering if the pregnancy issue came up and how did you handle it. My friend and I both want to have a baby, she might be trying during the end of her last semester of school, so I was just wondering for future reference.

Well Congrats again and good luck on the apartment hunting too.

Hi u...

I am off today from work ...sitting at my computer trying to find an apartment...a decent apartment in a decent neighborhood..but what do i know...I dont know Cali...in any event...at the interview, the question never came up nor did i volunteer any information, however my conscience bothered me soo much after I retuned home...I called up my future supervisor and explained the situation to her...she was very nice about it ...told me it was ok..technically they could not renig on the position but they could have found plenty of other reasons to not extend the position I am sure..

I also spoke to the nuse recruiter who told me it is illegal to not hire based on pregnancy...so in essence..it worked out great....I just didnt want to start out being dishonest on a new job ya know...for one thing I was showing but it was not that noticable at the interview...now I am SHOWING....
