I wanted to ask you guys what you think about my situation.
I took NCLEX in July and failed for the first time. I took about 5 hours to complete my exam.
I took it again on the 16th of Sept.and the computer stopped at 75, it took about an hour and a half. I got a lot of SATA 2 med questions. I prepared for about 2 months with Kaplan.
I keep asking myself if I wasn't doing so good then maybe the computer would've kept asking me questions past the 75 right? Since the first time around I kept going till 265 and that time I hadn't had the Kaplan review.
So could it be then that this time I knew the material much better and that's why it stopped at 75? I don't know how I feel about the test, this time around it seemed much easier to me. Although I did all 1000 Qbank questions and the whole Kaplan book, maybe I'm used to the type of questions now.
I just hope I passed.

Because of the nature of the beast (exam) there is no way you can predict. People have passed with max number as have people passed with min number who had higher numbers in previous exams. Hang in there and good luck

its just a number of questions, and the computer just shut off if and only it has estimated either your above or below the passing standard. no one can predict the result until you recieve the official result fo your exam. just hang on to your dream of becoming RN! update us with the result of your exam.

I hope I dont offend anyone with this request. I just took the NCLEX this month and got 80 questions, I felt really good when I left, but I found out that I did not pass. I am up in arms right now with which study materials are good (specifically which books have been the best to use) I used the kaplan review book, and now I currently have the orange Mosby's comp review, but I wanting to purchase another....Help from anyone would be great. Also I have heard sooo much about the kaplan Q bank...is anyone out interested in letting me sample that Q bank who has purchased it? I am a single Dad and just finished nursing school and I cannot affor that kind of money right now, if soo i would greatly appreciate it, if not I truly understand.

I would consider Suzanne's plan and all you need is the latest Saunder's book and you need to complete the first tip first and then need approx 45 days or just over to do her actual plan. Check out these stickies
