Hi Everyone,
I've noticed that almost everyone in the posts has mentioned Saunders and Kaplan and wondering if anyone has used the NSNA (National Student Nurses Assoc.) NCLEX Book? This is the book our school required us to purchase and the main one I've been using. We also had to purchase Prentice Halls series of NCLEX Reviews and Rationales first semester and I used those throughout school.
We were required to take all of the ATI tests, along with the comprehensive before leaving school - with the score I had, supposedly I have a 99% chance of passing, but I don't know how accurate that is. Besides the questions in the NSNA book I've been doing, they gave us the ATI codes to take another series of tests on our own to prepare and I took a week long Review course after graduation.
Besides all that, I took my youngest Son camping in the Blue Ridge Mtns. last week - for him to have fun and me to sit in peace and quiet at our picnic table for 4-5 hours a day studying. I sure hope it did some good - because it was pretty "painful" sitting there studying while everyone around me was enjoying themselves and I ended up with "poison oak" all over my face - I looked like the elephant man!!!. :angryfire So, don't go near "pretty leaves" while taking a hike in the woods...
I'm scheduled to take the NCLEX next week and wondering if the resources I've used are enough or if I should consider rescheduling and go get the Saunders Book? Also, don't want to turn this into a book, but wondering if others have had to travel out of State to take the Boards. I'm in NC and unless I want to wait at least another month for a test date here, I have to drive to Virginia and take it there. It's a 4 hour drive, the exam starts at
9am, so I have to get a hotel room the night before (yet another expense), but if I pass, I guess it will all be worth it...
Thanks for any advice or suggestions. Sue...

I'm from NC and I'm taking the NCLEX tomorrow (dry heave, dry heave) in Richmond--several of my classmates have gone there. Others have gone to Wilmington.
I have used Kaplan (took the course) and Saunders as well (mostly Kaplan). My ATI was 99% passing as well, but I'm still worried. With the Kaplan readiness test, I was at 74% which is in the passing range. I don't think for me it means a thing. It all depends on my state of mind tomorrow!
