Question about ISU the clinical/preceptor part

I talked to them about it a few months ago, although have decided not to pursue it at this point. They told me if I had a good relationship with my present facility taht I could set up something there, that they would call the hospital to confirm, etc. As for if they set up if you can't do it at the workplace, I didn't pursue that line of thought. Call them and ask them, the guy I talked to liked to have talked my arm off!!!!! :)

Hi...

I was looking at this LPN to BSN thing this morning...and now I have some questions...

For those who have already talked with ISU...Is this program 2 or 3 years? Now I would already have the general eds done...but how long is the Phase II suppose to take? The Phase III looks to be a 2 year progress by itself...Am I getting the right impression? I thought the "grab ya page" mentioned it was a 2 year program!

I would love to consider this as an option after finishing my LPN, but I don't want to wait more than 2 years to finish my RN, when I can complete it in 3 more semesters at Deaconess, increase my income and then finish my BSN...know what I mean?

Just got off the phone with them, phase 3 is suppose to be 6 semester long (18 months) Phase 2 you test out of prior to applying to ISU and the college network has all the test out material. Phase 1 is a test out process as well. I just realized how backward my post is..hahaa. Anyway I am more concerned with the clinical part and is the online program accrediated through the NLN. Now you do have the option of speeding up the process ,with permission of course. I think im going to call ISU today and I'll post my findings later. I want to hear more from people about this ... any comments:)

I just spoke to Ruth at ISU nursing dept and she said they are accrediated through NLN , so there I go.... resolved my own deliema...
