Question about Initial LVN license fee

Hi everyone! I passed my boards and I need to send my $150 in to the boards to get my license, but I don't know if I am missing something. Can I send a personal check to the board, or does it have to be a certified check. Any insight would be great, because I don't want to send a personal check to find out it must be certified. I assume that you are in California since they're the only state who requires this fee prior to issuing the LVN license.

Anyway, I mailed a personal check into the California BVNPT, they cashed it, and I received my license a couple of weeks later. Although this took place 6 years ago, I seriously doubt that they have changed the methods of payment that they accept.
