The Question, I took the Hesi tonight in class. I was told that it's a good predictor of your ability to pass the NCLEX, is this true? I got a 99.29% conversion score, which can't be right because I felt like I was guessing a lot. (cross post)

Well I have 2 answers. I work with someone who scored that high and passed in 75 question. However certain scores are required to graduate on the hesi where im from. I on the other hand wasn't required to pass hesi to graduate it was only for information, so I didn't prepare. I did prepare for my nclex. Scored a whopping 480 on the hesi(horrible) passed the boards with 75 questions in 40 minutes. So I would say sometimes it does. Don't reallt think this helps and 2 be honest I remember many questions from nclex and I feel the were different like more drugs, etc on nclex

hey there! me and one of my best friends also scored similarly (she got 99.99 i got a 98.something) and we both passed in 75 questions.
i know the hesi is rough- feels like you are guessing every answer. I felt that the NCLEX was more straightforward and simpler. I really thought it was most similar to NCLEX 4000 questions (if you have used that program). Some are tricky, and yes you have to think- but as long as you take your time and relax it should be the same outcome as the hesi! you still know your stuff, right? though the way the questions are written may change, your ability to figure it out wont. good luckkk!
