Question after Hepatitis vaccine

Hi all. I have a question. A few years ago the office I worked for gave us the Hep B vaccince. I got the 1st 2 and wasn't there to get the third. Can I get the 3rd now or do I have to start the series all over? Again, this was a few years ago since I got the 2nd one. I called that office (who just so happens to not have record I ever even had the 1st 2 there.. AHEM! :rolleyes: ) and they said I could just get the 3rd. Um...in order to get the 3rd I have to have record I had the 1st 2...some people. :uhoh3:

I thought I'd have to begin again. Does anyone know??

It took about three days for me to get the results of my titer back :)

Oh Ok good. It doesn't say I have to have the titer. I better call and find out. Also it says I need a CBC. Does that stand for a complete blood count? If so what all does it test for and would the hospital have a record of that if I was admitted about a month ago? I know they took a lot of blood. Hopefully they did a CBC and I can just pick up the record there.

Your right it stands for Complete Blood Count. :) My school didnt require a CBC but they did request titers. I just had my first HepB, Td, and Chickenpox. Yea I never had the chickenpox as a kid so I needed the vaccine. Boy let me tell you, people have said that the Td vaccine hurts real bad. Mine didnt hurt at all but the HepB vaccine was the killer. OMG did that thing hurt. My arm is killing me too LOL. :eek: Just glad that is over with. Now I get to look forward to the next HepB in a month EWWWW.

I would check with your school and see if they would accept the CBC from a month or so ago. I dont see why they wouldnt but then again you never know with how picky these admissions are LOL. Good luck!
