Question about ccrn review books ??

Has anyone studied or used the Springfield review for critical care?

A coworker of mine studied it for a week and passed. Unfortunately, I'm not that type of person to study for a week. I am studying for 2-3 months.

I think PassCCRN is to time consuming and in depth. So far I've been using the Critical Care Nursing Certification review.

Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks !!!

I, and most CCRNs I know, used Laura Gasparis's CCRN review DVD. You can find it at http://www.greatnurses.com. It comes with a review book and notes.

Use PassCCRN for the CD-ROM only. Tons of questions, good practice. You're right about the book--it's too detailed and not learner-friendly.

Good luck! :D

I have used the PASSCCRN book, the Linda Gasaparis DVD's and her handouts, and the PASSCCRN CD. The PASSCCRN book would take a loooong time to get through. I found the Gasparis DVD's, the Gasparis handouts, and the PASSCCRN CD the best to prepare. I passed the first time with a very good score considering I have only been a nurse and in ICU for just over 1 year.
