Question on background check

Hi everyone.

I'm curious if something in my credit report will hurt my chances of landing an RN job in the future. Sometime ago I've owed a bank a small amount (145.22) during a time I was homeless, and had zero income. I couldn't pay it off, so they closed my account, and sent me a collections notice. I've paid it off some time ago, but I'm wondering if it'll hurt my chances of getting a job? Since it's paid off and in the past, it shouldn't really affect me, or should it?

If that would hurt peoples chances of getting a job there'd be alot more people without a job.

Seriously though they do do credit checks at some places but they are looking for more than a outstanding paid off debt thru collections of 100 some dollars so my answer is absolutely not and dont worry about it any longer.

Thank you very much, you've alleviated much of my worries.

I would not worry about this at all.
