Queensborough Community College (QCC) - nursing pre-clinical sequence

Hi guys, 

I have recently applied to QCC to get my nursing degree. Looking at the degree pathway I see that that the pre- clinical sequence consists only of four classes: Eng,math, psy and anatomy and physiology. Because I'm a transfer student I've already completed Eng, Math and psy which means that I would only have to complete anatomy and physiology. 

I'm a bit confused because I've read that a lot of people take more classes than the ones listed in the pre clinical sequence before applying or getting accepted to the program. How does it actually work? How long does it actually take to get accepted into the program? I would appreciate your help! ❤️
