Queens University of Charlotte ABSN Program

Published

Hey guys! I recently applied to Queens University of Charlotte's ABSN program to begin this May. Just curious to see if anyone else has applied??

I emailed my counselor last night so I will definitely keep you guys in the loop!!

April 8th! Good luck!

For those accepted what is the deadline to accept your offer?

@AkousaThank you for the information!

I spoke to Devony and she said that received many emails regarding the date but that they would be resending the information with a date on it. So it kinda feels like a lot of people are waitlisted. I didn't ask about ranking or anything but I will go back and ask.

I have a B.A in Psych with a minor in Judaic Studies. 3.0 with no medical background.

3.2 prerequisites

@Akousa Thanks for that info! I emailed her last night and didn't hear anything so I called the admissions at Queens and they forwarded me to her number which I needed up having to leave a message.

So, once I hear back from her or get that email regarding those dates I'll let you guys know too! Thanks!

If you don't mind my asking, what are your stats?

I have not yet applied to any other schools. I will apply to South College in Asheville though. Did you apply anywhere else?

Yeah of course! I received my BS in biology this Dec 2022. I had a pre-req GPA of 3.6. I don't have very much experience working in a hospital setting however, I have been working as a receptionist at a dental office for over 2 years which could *technically* mean I have some experience.

From what I've heard in the past, it seems like GPA and stats weigh heavy but then if you have any experience that can really help as well.

I also applied to Northeastern University- Charlotte ABSN. They have a rolling application and have 3 start dates a year. I received my acceptance letter yesterday. It seems like a great school however I am still debating because of the hefty tuition at that school.

Do you live in the Charlotte, NC area? Is South College an ABSN program? It's only recently that I realized there are not many ABSN programs in the Carolinas (from what I've seen).

Nice!

I am not from the area, I'm from and still live in California but it's impossible to get into nursing school here. And it's far more expensive here. South College is ABSN!

I too have noticed that as well but I've also found that ABSN aren't that plentiful all around and everyone wants something different so that can make it hard too.

Oh, that's awesome! Good luck!

Okay so I got a call back from Queens. The deadline to accept/decline the offer is March 8th. The deposit also must be paid by the same date. So, I guess from then they'll start pulling people off of the waitlist.

Well, I guess I just need to wait till the end of March.
Thank you for the info!!

Has anyone on the waitlist gotten an update?
