Queens University ABSN Summer 2015

Hello! I wanted to start a thread to see if there are any other students out there who have applied or are going to apply to Queens University of Charlotte's 2015 ABSN program. I am in the process of finishing the last of my prerequisites this fall semester and plan to submit my application prior to Christmas.

Has anyone applied to other schools? Is Queens your top choice?

Also, is there anyone who is a current student within the ABSN program? I would love to hear anyone's feedback about the intensity and quality of the program.

Hi charlottegirl24, I'm planning on applying to Queens for the summer of 2015. I've just been accepted to NYU, but am unsure about accepting due to the exorbitant tuition fees and the cost of living in NYC. I'm also waiting to hear back from several other schools, so I hope things will become clearer in a few weeks. If I end up not accepting NYU, I'll most definitely be applying to Queens. I've also applied for the Queens University of Charlotte summer 2015 ABSN program. I am not from the area so I actually know very little about the school in general but have heard some reassuring things. You probably know more than I do if you currently live in Charlotte, though!

Did you apply anywhere else?

I applied for University of Southern Maine (and have been accepted), Duke, and may still apply to University of South Florida. I think, idealistically, Duke would be my top choice with Queens a close second- depending on how a visit to the area goes!

I was surprised with how simple their application was- it makes me nervous!

Anyway, good luck and we can keep in touch and hopefully chat with others in our situation!

Hi all! Just wanted to provide an update - I received my acceptance letter in the mail last Thursday (1/29). Woohoo! Granted, I live 5 miles from campus so that is probably the reason it came so fast in the mail. Hope you all get your letters soon!

I'm in the PNW so am a little unfamiliar with the reputation Queens has...would you say they are highly regarded?

Hi there! I got accepted into the summer 2015 program as well. Now i need to find a place to live nearby. Any suggestions? I need a pet-friendly apartment with quiet neighbors.

hello. wondering if you guys know for certain the estimated cost of tuition? Is

it $742 per credit only or is it $742 per credit plus the full-time comprehensive tuition? thanks in advance!
