Does anyone have any ideas for an easy and perhaps measurable quality improvement project? I was thinking about waste reduction/how to recycle blue wrap. Any ideas would be appreciated thanks!

The wrap that goes around instruments not placed in a metal case for sterilization.
@Mmrn93, what are the facility's goals? Usually that's the starting place for quality improvement project. Many revolve around things that cause patient harm, such as surgical site infections.
Or something for saving money???
I watched the rad onc therapists at my recent treatment facility placed a foot bar across my stretcher as a 'anti-slide' guard or prop EVERY TREATMENT.
Then they used 2 inch surgical 'silk tape', like almost a whole role each time for me (and others??) to secure it. Like why not cheap WALMART masking tape???
I asked my very first visit and was told it was some JCAHO thing and they couldn't use that kind of tape. So they used 2 inch surgical silk tape. WHAT A financial waste! Their budget for misc tape use must be astronomical!
