PVT, are false positives possible?

Published

I took the NCLEX-RN yesterday, 09/19/17 at 1 PM and got 108 questions in before the test shut off. I waited to try to Pearson Vue trick until this morning (09/20/17) and got the "good pop-up" with entering the right credit card number but wrong CVC and exp. date. I tried again later on in the afternoon and again got the "good pop-up". I'm in California and we don't have access to the quick results so the PVT is what i'm placing all my hope in right now until I can get my official results back from CA. I just wanted to see if anyone has ever heard of anyone getting the "good pop-up" but didn't actually pass? I would appreciate anyone's help!

Yes, it has happened, but seems to be pretty rare. If 24 hours after you have completed your exam you are still prevented from registering for a new exam, it is most likely that you passed. If you put in wrong information and get a card declined message, it means that you may have passed or may have failed. Only by putting in completely accurate information and rolling the dice will you know whether you can register or not.

Personally, I think it's a silly risk of $200. At this point, it seems likely that you will have passed. Stop trying to give Pearson VUE your money, LOL, and go do something until you can get actual, Real Results. Good luck!

Hey, you don't actually have to put in your actual CC number to know whether you "passed" or not. If you get the good pop up, it's because they didn't even try to process your card info. If you get anything saying that your cvc was incorrect or anything like that, it's because they TRIED To debit the card but couldn't. which is the "Bad" pop up. Correct cvc/exp date or not, same results.
