PVT false positive report here! Bueller?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

ok. I took it. The dreaded NCLEX. I did PVT and I got the good "pop up" that thousands of you speak of...... but I just don't know........ I am going to vomit. I have 19 hours left until I find out. I could've been a monkey pounding on the keyboard and answered those questions better than I did! That test was IMPOSSIBLE! ONLY GENERIC MEDS LISTED! DISEASES I'VE NEVER HEARD OF!

*****Please post below if you've gotten a PVT false positive*****

This post is over 4 years old but I had to comment because I've never related to something so heavily in my life and it actually made me laugh. I sat for boards yesterday around 1:45 PM (it's about 4 AM right now, obviously a wreck and can't sleep) and I've gotten the good pop-up 4 times but I absolutely cannot shake the feeling that I failed. From the first question, I got a drug that I didn't recognize, probably answered the question wrong, and from there, it was an onslaught of things I have never heard of before. I had 92 questions of straight guessing - you cannot understand how truly demoralizing that feels until you're in that situation and you literally didn't get a single question where you were sure of the answer. I had over 50 SATA. I graduated magma cum laude in my nursing program but this exam honestly could've been entirely in a foreign language and my probability of guessing the correct answers would've been the exact same. I have been scouring the internet for stories of false positives with the good pop-up and still failing. Anyway, thanks for the laugh. I feel the exact same way. My test was an impossible horror show. I got my first degree in biology, suffered through both organic chemistries, physics 1 and 2, biochem, calculus 1 and 2, and the hardest cellular biology class offered at my university and the NCLEX was still the hardest, most spirit-killing exam I've ever sat through. About 33 hours until my Quick Results available. Fingers crossed.

So wait.... did you pass ?!?

I need to know!!! Did you pass ?!? I am in the literal same exact boat as you and am basically crying

Anyone really get a false positive?? I'm losing my mind.

has anyone gotten a false positive, pvt trick gave you the good pop but you did NOT pass the nclex?

Sorry for letting 4 years go by without answering but yes, I did pass! And I actually just passed my CCRN as well! I hope you all passed, too!
