PVAMU CON Prospective Summer/Fall 2013 Students

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hey Everyone!!

Haven't seen any posts about students trying to get in the program in the Summer/Fall of 2013 so I thought I should start one! Let's get to know one another!!

Introduce yourself...

Have you been accepted into the CON?

Have you taken the Hesi?

Have you started your packet?

Where are you now on your process?

Thanks lalacb123. I won't be going to pvamu so hopefully they give my spot to someone on the waitlist and I hope it's you!! Good luck and don't give up hope!

Thank you for your kind words!

If you are core complete meaning you got a associate degree in Texas, do you still have to finish up the pre-req required by pvamu con? My school didn't require a computer class, but pvamu con does. Does that mean I have to take a computer class despite being core complete?

yeah you still have to - a lot of people I know in the program now even have a degree but they still had to go back and take extra classes to finish all the ones that the school required

Ok thanks. Uthsc Houston and TWU Houston nursing requirements are that if you have an associate degree, no other pre-reqs are imposed. I guess PVAMU is an exception.

hey all im a sem 3 student at the con, feel free to ask question

Hey Saraiish, do u mind sharing your school schedule? What days of week do you go? Time? Is it a set schedule or does it change often?

depends on the semester and schedule you pick but 4 days a week is pretty standard with one class a day, the semester by semester setup usually will have u take one class a day but but u might have a major class with a minor elective on the same day. the schedule is quite flexible, I think PV is the most flexible nursing school in the med center, every class comes with at least 2 sections except maybe in the summer fast track programs.
