putting it all together

sad.pngI am in my 4th semester and am still having trouble putting it all together (how every part of the body is involved with the other even though you wouldn't think it is) when it comes to test questions. Anyone got any helpful hints, insightful moments, whatever...to assist with this problem???

:rolleyes:thanks

Think of the ABC's in CPR. You do them in sequential order because of priority, with airway being first. Think of Maslow's. That has a sequential order - with safety always being first. If you can keep both those concepts down it will fit most PRIORITY questions. If the patient has a blocked airway then that will be a priority. If ABC's are covered, but the patient is dizzy, then his safety is an issue.

I'm in the same boat, hun. but keep working on it, we'll both prevail eventually :)

It takes time to learn how to think outside one body system and see how it impacts another. You have to train your mind to always ask the question, "how will this affect the whole person?"

thank you for your replies, encouragement and ways to look at things. I am going to meet with the nurse mentor tommorrow and will keep your advice in mind while studying. I will prevail because I cant see myself doing anything else.
