PATHOPHYSIOLOGY and Basic nursing review
Hi Everyone, I'm currently a student. I'm creating this thread to review my pathophysiology material. I feel like I"ve forgotten so much. I really need your support in participating and in adding addition information to my material. I'm going to use this thread to motivate me to post most of the review. THANK you for participating :)

Why do I get yelled at for doing the correct thing??
You're accountable for the information you chart so despite what she says do what you have to get accurate information. Don't mind her at the end of the day its your license thats on the line. You should explain to her what you're telling us too. You have to be assertive. I know easier done then said. But if you don't do it now, it'll be harder when you start. Best of luck to you. You seem like a great nurse.

Every job has its negatives. Maybe you should consider another hospital or speciality where you have more autonomy and are using your skills more? I know some hospitals give the nurses more autonomy to use thier skills. do some research and see which hospital could be good for you. You got into it for a reason. try and go back and see where that what that reason is..

How does the Doc order the rate in IVF administration?
okay, no worries. got it. 4 2 1 for those in the same situation. if you're for example trying to solve a 70 kg question there are 7 10s, ie. first 10 kg x 4, 2nd 10kg x 2 and then the remainder times 1x10 10 10 10 10 so you get 40+20 + 50....and( 50= 10kg+ 10+10+10+10= all (40+20+50)= 70kg 40kg+20kg+50kg =110kg all i care is that i understand... kinda diappointed no one came up to explain. its ok..got. hope that explains it to those that are wondering..

can fever influence O2 saturation?
Fever is an increase in temperature. An increase in temperature causes a shift to the RIGHT. An increase in temperature would cause hemoglobin to lose its affinity for Oxygen. The bond between hemoglobin and oxygen break more easily and oxygen is delivered to the tissues more efficiently. "at this point a lower SpO2 is acceptable in patients with these conditions because oxygen is being delivered to their tissues more efficiently."
