Anyone out there have info on the school in Arecibo, PR? It is a 24 month program that begins in August.

Kevano don't deal with people outside of the nursing dept. They have no clue what is going on. I would hope that since you have been reading this board for at least 6 months you would have figured that out.

Yet you asked several questions several different times and I kept answering them and you kept asking them yet again after I answered them.

I stopped responding to you because you are like the boy who called wolf. I have spoken to other students here at school and they feel the same way. So if you stop getting responses on this thread it may be because we are very sick of you wasting our time.

worldtraveling yogi thanks for the kind words, but if u read back on the forum u will see that the post clearly states that there is an 11 month program and a 2 year program and a 3 year program but to consult with the school, so this is what i did and they allegedly put me thru to the nursing department and i called there twice yesterday, one girl said there is not an 11 month program and that there is one a year and a half program, then another girl said that there is a two year program only, im speaking in regards to the adn, so i guess im crying wolf so whatever...

the only other real question i have posed on here and it never got answered was i asked any former inter nursing students to chime in if they got a job when they got back to the states and NO former students responded,

Kevano below are 8 questions you asked in a one month period. If I knew the answer I would reply in a very detailed manner. But I got sick of answering you because you would dismiss my answers and ask the question again. It was quite frustrating. And to see all the questions you asked all one has to do is click on you profile and then click see all posts by kevano51. You can see out of all your 58 posts 95% of them are questions. About 70% are in this forum.

I felt like you were wasting my time so I stopped answering your questions.

and now the 64,000 dollar question!! are grads from inter american getting jobs in the states??

Jan 22, 2011

it just seems so odd that most of the nursing students on here recommend moving to san juan first, then applying and registering for school, my concern with that is financial aid, i would rather have my financial aid set up before i move down there as i have house payments to make here in Florida, is it even possible to get my financial aid set up first before moving?

thanks so much you guys for all the help! :yeah: I was wondering about the other nursing school there, I think it is called Metropolitan University, someone was saying they are a bit more advanced, better profs, etc.?

so is it true that Florida does not accept a degree in nursing from Puerto Rico or that it is more difficult to sit for the NCLEX?

Feb 13, 2011

ok, thanks, a prior post said that Florida was tougher to get licensed in and I spoke with my sister in law who is in nursing school in Ocala and she said the same thing. I was wondering how much it costs approximately for a year at Interamican University pls?

Feb 14, 2011

does interamerican offer financial aid, did u guys get financial aid at all, im trying to figure out how to finance all this, also what is the average rent like pls?

Feb 14, 2011

ok, what about getting work study, isnt that typical? or getting a job as a cook or in retail or something so i have some money coming in?

I noticed that InterAmerican also has a law school, does anyone know if there is an option for English speakers to study law in Puerto Rico pls, shot in the dark but I thought I would ask!!

Do you know if the regular program begins at another time other than august? Thanks :)

It is unpublicized that they also have a November start date. I tried to start in November but I inquired in May. It is only once the August trimester has begun will they allow people to begin in November. I thought it was only for accelerated students but I know of a non-accelerated student starting next week.

The bad news for you is the next trimester starts on Wed the 2nd of November which is one week from today. Now it is possible to get accepted and start in that time period although it may not be possible for you to wrap up your life in such a short span of time.

Yeah I'm taking classes at a community college at the moment, and those aren't over until december, so yeah lol .... thanks for getting back :) ....

Do you know of any programs that start in january, any any chance? Sorry for the question bombardment ...if else I will calmly get everything ready for august.

I don't know about the other program here in English. The other program is at UMET but I don't know much about them. The program in English at La Inter started 14 years ago and the one at UMET started 2 years ago I believe. They are not by trimester. I think their classes are bimester so two sets of 8 weeks in the fall and in the Spring. Anyway I really don't know much and my guess is that it would be a fall start only.

Hey Guys!

Starting the Nov program next week and hope to meet you all. Thank you all very much for your posts and guidance. It's been a huge help:)

I'm currently at the student Casa on campus recommended by "E." Looking on classificados for some affordable housing at the moment. Anyone know any bulletin boards on campus that I can look for roomates/housing that I should check out?

Thanks!
