Hello!
I am having a hard time deciding on my educational route. My end goal is a BSN (then MSN down the road). Private school is very expensive but I can start immediately and complete my BSN. The public schools ie local CCs, are inexpensive but I could be waiting around while trying to get accepted (after completing my pre-reqs) and once finished still only have an ADN which means I will have to find a bridge program etc.
I see why private schools are so expensive, you get in and out quickly etc.
I guess my question is, is it really worth it to filter through the community college and risk being stuck on a waitlist for years? Likewise, is it really worth it to pay *a lot* more for a more streamline privatized nursing school?
I know this really is a personal question that I ultimately need to decide for myself but I would really appreciate any input/advice or tales from your experience.
Thank you very much,
Kristy

Look for a public school with competitive entry as opposed to a wait list ...then make sure that you're competitive. Buying your way in should be a last resort ...especially if you want to continue your education later and are expecting to take on even more debt.
