Hello everyone!!

I am in my second semester and I am needing info!!! I have a surprise homework assignment just found out about it today :(

The assignment is to come up with a question regarding the nursing role in like miliue therapy, cognitive, behavioral or group therapy. I also need several answers. My teacher wants us to create question and answer flashcards to leave in the nursing lab at school. So I need to know if my question and answers make and sense and I would love some extra input and insight :)

Q: What role can a nurse play in group therapy/activities?

A: Nurses can run daily AM goal setting and PM goal review meetings.

Nurses can run daily or weekly community meetings-- greeting new clients, bidding departing clients farewell, getting new ideas for the unit, addressing problems ect...

Nurses can run psychoeducational groups for clients or families. Addressing stress management, coping skills and grieving.

Nurses can run groups addressing medications. Teaching clients how and when to take their meds as well as managing side effects and helping certain clients understand the importance of taking their medications faithfully.

Ok so what do you guys think? Is ther anything I could add or take out. Thank you sooooo much

could include for some: anger management, impulse control

and for some: management of delusions and hallucinations

Specializes in med/surg, telemetry, IV therapy, mgmt.

I have a feeling that the instructor is probably looking for NCLEX, or application, type questions, don't you think?
