I think you should be fine, this is my second time applying. I didn't get in last time because I didn't have a degree and a lot of people who applied for that semester did. I'm sure we both have a high chance of getting in. They do take 20 extra people as subs and they usually take most of them. I'm sure our chances are high so don't stress
I applied for January but i didn't get in. Since then though, I finished my A.A degree, boosted up my GPA, and brought up my Teas score. I applied for polk and south floridas nursing program, but I've taken all my classes at polk so I want to get in there. I don't want to put all my cookies in one jar though if u know what I mean, I wanted options. Sign up for fall is May 15th so I'm waiting though. Everyone from the area
I hope so!!
I have been at Polk in the past, but I transferred from Polk to Valencia in Spring 2014 to finish my AA and it took me a year to finish it and get all my extra pre-reqs for the Nursing program. Valencia accepts all applicants who meet their Nursing pre-req requirements, but on the downside there is a 2 year waiting list for the RN program and I don't have two years to wait around. So technically I'm transferring back to Polk. I did not apply anywhere else, all my eggs are in this basket so I am definitely hopeful!
Hey guys, I applied with a 3.60 gpa and got a 75 on the teas test. I also have an associates degree. I'm actually applying early and don't plan on starting until the spring term, however, because I still have to take a&p2 and microbiology this fall.
Right now I'm just waiting for that acceptance letter to come in the mail- hopefully we all get in!
