Psb test

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hi all!

I am set to take the PSB test in one week (super short notice.. recently moved across the country). Anyhow, I've been taking practice tests.. and have been doing fairly well in all subjects except science. For whatever reason, the science questions all look foreign to me. (I graduated high school 10 years ago.. so maybe that's why!) It's overwhelming me because it seems to cover a wide variety of science subjects, so I'm not sure where to start refreshing. Does anyone have advice on a good place to start studying? Any help is appreciated!!

thank you!

Hello,

Sorry it took me so long to reply... With the end of the semester and Christmas it was CRAZY!! So, I have officially scheduled my PSB for 1/9!! :nailbiting: I am so nervous.. But, we shall see... lol

Best of luck to you as well!! Did you get your results?

Oh so exciting!! Let me know how it goes and what you thought of the test

Yes, I had scored in the 90th percentile or higher in all sections except one. I scored in the 88th percentile on the last section.

Good job!! That's awesome. I somehow did SO bad in spelling. Like embarrassingly awful! The rest I did well on. Ah well.. I still have some pre reqs to take. I can freshen up on some spelling before next year

Alexander, have you taken any of the prerequisites like the general education classes?

So I have the Mometrix test preparation book and really have been working hard at preparing for this PSB. Does anyone here have this book noticed any mistakes in this book? Or is it just me? I've noticed a few today and yesterday in the math portion of mine. Just my luck for me to get the "lemon!" lol

I noticed a couple of mistakes too!! It was annoying

Honestly the math is super easy. It's mostly word problems

I hope you're right about the math being super easy! That would take the anxiety out of taking the test! I could breath a little easier! lol It's just annoying me that I know for a fact I'm doing the math correct and I look in the answer key and it's wrong.. UGH! I've even emailed my calculus instructor that I had to make sure I wasn't losing it! lol

Oh it's totally frustrating! I agree!

I have taken all of them plus a couple which will hopefully transfer over to UNCW for my BSN. I'm more than likely going to apply to the RIBN program as well. I have taken statistics and sociology as my extra courses and have yet to take chemistry.
