PSB test for shadyside

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Can anyone tell me about the psb test for shadyside? I'm really freaking out about it! I just wanted to know how hard it was. What were the verbal portions like? I'm not the greatest with vocab. I have to ARCO book and have been studying from it a lot. I heard the book is a lot harder that then test. If anyone could answer some questions I would really appreciate it! I take the test friday!

I went to Shadyside. Personally the verbal section wasn't that bad. What you really want to prepare for is the science section. Everyone will tell you it is the hardest section of the exam. The questions they ask you have absolutely nothing to do with nursing. I had questions on physics, electrical currents, and chemistry. On the whole science section I had maybe 2-3 questions related to biology and maybe 1-2 related to nutrition. The majority of the science questions took me completely by surprise.

Why cant I read the replies?!?!

Ok finally! Thanks so much for your reply! I will definately look over the science stuff more. I have to ARCO book but everyone says that is way harder than the actual test.

The vocab section was relatively easy. So was the math and reading comprehension. The hardest by far was the science, and it is definitely doable if you study it. Don't worry. Just take one question at a time. It is multiple choice, so the answer in there.....just focus on what they are asking you. Good luck!

Im going to take the test next month. I'm also very nervous because I want to do well on it.

How did the test go for you? Was it really hard?

Is there any advice you can give me to study up on or what to look for.

Thanks!!!

Get the books that they recommend....they really do help. Also...RELAX. You'll do better if you don't completely stress about it. Study the science ALOT, unless you have an extensive background in it....it is the hardest part of the test. I passed the test the first time and had no science background, but I really studied those books before taking the test. If you are really focused on doing well, you will. Good luck!!!11
