Hi Sabrina,

I'm sorry you had trouble with the CFCC website because that's the only place I know of that covers the non-verbal spatial portion of the exam in detail. The book "Nursing School and Allied Health Entrance Exams" by Marion Gooding was recommended by my nursing school for the exam and it was extremely helpful (doesn't cover the non-verbal spatial though). I also got "Math Word Problems Demystified" because the math on the exam is set up in word problem fashion and that book saved me. Hope this helps.

Good Luck!

I just took that exam what i can tell you i to BURSH UP On your FRACTIONS, ANTONYMS, Averages,Percents, The reading is easy,

Science- I would get Chemistry for Dummies, Anaotmy and Physiology for dummies, and Biology for dummies and just read all the basics

Ok, anyone else? I am also taking the PSB. What would you reccommend. I will defn. grab the dummy books.

Spill, go to math.com and practice basic math(fractions, decimals, percents, and averages maily) and if you have not had a bio or chem class for a while read the for dummies book as much as you can, i did good on the other parts but hte sience i only got a 66

I took the PSB last fall for UPMC Shadyside. I thought it was pretty easy except for the science section. It had been at least 12 yrs since I had any chem or biology. I was able to get a 75 in the science part though - literally the last 10 questions I just filled in answers and didn't even read the answers. I figured I"d have to take a science class anyway. FOrtunately I didn't and passed. My total score was like 368 or something. Read the books recommended by your school - I did a ton of practice math and verbal tests. Good luck!
