PSB-Aptitude for Practical Nursing Exam

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I will be taking this test March 28th so I can start my clinicals in October. I have a serious case of pre-test jitters :crying2:. I was wondering if anyone has taken the test. Also what kinds of questions can I expect. Lots of bio, fractions, spelling? Thank you in advance fo your help.:redbeathe

I actually am taking this exam on Monday March 30th. I'm very nervous and suffer from high test anxiety. I have been trying to study (not sure if its doing any good). I just saw your thread tonight. Please let me know what you thought of the test and if you have any tips:cry:

I have to take the test soon. Let me know how it was.

I took this test and thought it was very easy. I had to take this test in order to get into nursing school and the only challenging section of the test was the nursing situations because I have never done something like that before. Anyways, the test has 5 sections. If you need to see them go to www.psbtests.com and they have all the info there.:wink2:

I actually didnt think the test was all that bad. I was so happy that there wasnt much math on it. The situational nursing questions made me scratch my head a little but I used common sense so I hope that was good enough. The first section for my test consisted of a series of 3 different types of questions (90 in all). The first question was a set of 5 different words and you had to pick out which one didnt mean the same as the other words, the second was a math problem, and the third was a set of shapes and you had to pick which shape was to come next in the pattern. Section two was 50 questions on spelling, Section 3 was science (anything from basic science, biology, chemistry and physics), Section 4 was the practical nursing situational questions and Section 5 was literally a short version of a psychological exam.

The test booklet was really old (stains and marks all throughout it), so I'm not sure how much they have updated the test. I think I did ok, they said it will take a couple of weeks for my results to come back but what they didnt tell me was whether I would get a copy of my results in the mail or if I would hear about my results through them. I'm trying to get into the part time LPN program so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I really wanted to do the full time program but with the economy the way it is I can afford to cut back in hours for school right now. So I'll be going to school for 2 years :(, it will be worth it in the end.

Hey guys! I am also looking at a CC that is requiring for this enterence instead of the TEAS. Do they have any study guides beyond what samples they have on psbtests website? Thx everyone ! :)
