I was wondering if anyone can give me any incite?! I've taken the PSB exam passed it about two weeks ago but Im moving back to florida and I know you have to take the TEAS test there...but do you think i could just use my score from the psb instead since in all actuality its about the same thing just different names..?!

Any help will do...THANKX IN ADVANCE:D:D

You should call the school you're interested in. I doubt that will be accepted though. Some schools allow people with degrees to be exempt from certain tests but ultimately its the schools decision. And chances are since the PSB test isnt what we use here they wont allow it. But hey, thats just an assumption.

i doubt any school would allow it, unless it is the same test they use. if you are referring to pTEC .... the answer is no. i have a Bachelor's degree and was only exempt from the TABE test ..... i took the NET test for another school, which is comprable to the TEAS, but they would not accept those scores .... i had to take the TEAS - it is required for admission for not only pTEC, but also for the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) in order to sit on the NCLEX.

good luck to you.

That's great that you passed the PSB! Was it at Everest? Good luck in FL with your nursing career. Where in FL, I have a lot of family there. I am taking the PSB in a week.....:( and I was wondering if you could help me out by letting me know what's on it :bowingpurPLEASE......I would appreciate it so much, I'm freaking out.

I'm originally from Saint Petersburg, Fl., but I live in Georgia now. I decided to stay here, but the PSB wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The most critical part is timing because most parts have 90 questions and the most time you get for any test is 45 minutes. It has 8 parts to it Verbal, Arithmetic, Nonverbal, Academic Aptitude-Total, Spelling, Reading Comp, Info in Natural Science, and Vocational Adjustment. The last five parts will be considered in your overall score to determine whether you passed or not. I hope this information helps, good luck on your test!!:wink2::up:

My dad lives in Clearwataer.... close to St. Pete.

Thank you so much for your reply, i really appreciate it. Did you study? I've been studying from a couple of nursing exam books, but there is so much information and I don't feel I can teach myself all of it so quickly.

Did you look into if you have to retest? I'm sure you'll do great if you have to retest you've already passed the PSB! :yeah: Thanks again. I wish you all the best :)

Well i wont have to retest because all I needed was a 230 I received a 282!! And I really didn't study honestly, because I just wanted to take it to see where I was. If I would've failed then I would've known which areas I was weak in. Thankfully I don't have to sweat taking the TEAS until I get into the transition program.
