Hello,
I know of two nurses who work there that seem happy. St Petes was in the news about a month ago. They were trying to raise the insurance rates on the ancillary personnel, to a 1500 deductible. I think they had a 1-2 day strike. I don't *think* this was nurses. You may want to google it or find it on a local tv channel. Thanks tokmom! I did see that in the news as well.
It's the best paying hospital in the area, from what I have heard. It can also be kinda difficult to get a job there, so I would definitely jump at it if I wanted to live in this area. I was just talking to some folks last night who recommended (to me) that I get on at one of the other places in town - for experience - but keep applying at St Pete's. I am not an RN (yet), but will be a CNA and EMT-B before the end of the year, and I was asking about ER tech jobs... but I think the advice goes across the board for positions there.
I know one person who works as an RN there in the ER. If you have any specific questions, I will see him next Monday and could try to ask. I only see him about once a month during association meetings.
Cammack, RN

Anyone work here or have any thoughts about the facility? I am looking to relocate from Ca and this has been the main hospital to contact me.
Any feedback would be great.
Thank you!
