I've heard about some of the other hospitals recently are cutting back on staff and non clinical employees. Has anyone heard anything about providence. I am about to accept a position there in the OR so I am just a little curious. I work at a small community hospital that has lost money and is cutting back on staff such as housekeeping and dietary. I am leaving there because I am nervous about my financial stability there. Anyway just curious about any infor from providence.

You will be fine at Providence, for the time being at least! Who knows what will happen if the us auto industry goes under.

Yeah the sad thing is those politicians do not care or are too stupid to figure it out. If our country loses 3 million jobs due to the collapse of the auto industry we are going to be in big trouble. As far as Michigan goes you might as well leave the state if that happens.

Sad thing about it, it's not just Michigan. The autos touch lives all over the US. The execs are fine but the lil people are the ones getting hurt the most. I work at blue cross and most of our business is from the auto industry, so guess what. If they go down, more than likely I will loose my job. This whole situation stinks! I just prey for the best and our economy!
