Hey everyone,
I'm 20 years old and currently 3 years deep into a psychology degree that I despise at MacEwan University. I've decided to bite the bullet and apply to Norquests LPN program, because I have always intended to be a nurse, it's just I kept being rejected from MacEwan's BScN program. I was wondering who has been/is going to Norquest and what will I expect when I go there? Any tips? Also for the LPN's out there I do want to finish my psych degree once i'm an LPN, will that be possible? I don't intend to have kids any time soon so I do want to continue my education onto becoming an RN as well through Athabasca University's bridge program.

Hello. You may get more responses if your post is moved to the Nursing in Canada forum.
Have you learned why Mac Ewan is not accepting you for their program?

I am enrolled at Norquest taking the LPN progam, just finishing my first year! Since you have some post secondary education you probably already have some classes completed, which will make your workload lighter. I didnt know what to expect starting the program to be honest, but I love it so far! It's alot of fun and you make lots of friends! The workload can be heavy at times, there are ALOT of assignments in the first semester, but the classes are not too bad. Second semester there are less classes but the classes are harder. Patho-physiology is a pretty challenging class so make sure to study lots and come to class, also read the textbok! Second semester I had 3 hour labs 4 days a week.... it was tough, but it goes by REALLY FAST ! so make sure to learn as much as you can! Good luck.
Can I ask why you don't just your degree and then take an after degree in nursing?
